The ultimate aim of this programme is to offer students a solid foundation of core psychological principles and expose them to a broad cross-section of topics within general psychology and industrial psychology field. This programme will help students develop research and communication skills, and attain strong background in psychology as a science. The programme also aims to foster critical thinking amongst the students to address evolving issues related to working environment and everyday life.
The specific aim for this programme is to produce graduates who are knowledgeable and skillful in the field of Industrial Psychology where their contribution in this area can increase the productivity of businesses and industries as well as heighten workers’ job satisfaction and competency. Graduates will be able to conduct researches that can contribute to industrial development in competing with the global sector. This programme will stimulate students’ interest and prepare them to pursue graduate and postgraduate level of study. Thus, graduates of this programme can fulfill the needs of
the government and private sectors in industrial management areas.
Graduates are able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding on fundamental principles in psychology, acquired from scholarly sources and are able to apply basic research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis and interpretation, within a range of work settings.

Graduates are able to use critical and creative thinking, sceptical inquiry, and when possible, demonstrate a scientific approaches to solve problems related to behaviour and mental processes.

Graduates are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for self-reflection and the use of this knowledge to analyze past experiences and pursue professional development opportunities (and life-long learning).

Graduates are able to exhibit managerial and entrepreneurial skills as well as display responsiveness to the changing nature of industrial psychology field.

Industrial Psychology studies human behaviour at the workplace in various working environment. Among the areas of focus for this degree program includes employment decision making, employee assessment, training needs analysis, group work dynamic, organizational crisis management, and work psychology, leadership and motivation, among others. For this program, students will graduate with a degree majoring in Industrial Psychology and minoring in Human Resource and Management. A degree in Industrial Psychology will allow graduates to understand how organizational dynamics and environmental influences affect the efficiency, productivity, success and overall performance of any given organization
